Hi there

I hope that all the Mums that read this had a fantadillyastic Mothers day!!!!! I certainly did! My hubby helped the kids out with brekkie and served it to me in bed. Then it was pressie time!!! BOY OH BOY did I get spoilt!!!!!! I hope that all you Mums did too. It is always a really hard day for me since I lost my own Mum 13 yrs ago. SO my Hubby & Kids tried so, so hard to make my day SUPER special & they sure did do that. PLUS a very special friend also bought me a lovely gift to make my day special rather then sad & she succeeded too....Thank you!!!!!!

I have been busy creating as well. I am loving all the new Basic Grey ranges atm. My fave would have to be the Archaic range. It is yummo...lol
I will share a few pages that I have created lately-
Brocks smile says it all. He was so proud!
Maddy's smile is just as big!!!!

A.W.A.L

I know, I know-I have to be the slackest blogger in history!

Have had a really busy couple of weeks. The kids have had their school holidays & are back at school. I have been super busy with family stuff & have created a few projects along the way.
I was a very lucky girl last week. My hubby & I went to test drive a car that we had our eye on & drove it away that very day. SO MUCH FOR JUST TEST DRIVING IT!!!!!!!!!I took some pics of it today so I will share one later.

I had another fun filled day yesterday at SRAPSIDAISY. We celebrated National Scrapbooking Day with a day filled with lovely ladies full of inspiration & some yummy cakes & slices were thrown in there too.
We Had a lovely Sunday drive today. We had to take the new car for a "Good" drive so we headed to a local beach for a picnic. Well it was so darn cold we almost ate it in the car. But we had a lovely day out with family so that is all that matters. Plus I had the chance to take a few new pic's to get me inspired.
I will share a few pages that I have created over the last few weeks.
The first is a challenge that I have been running over at the Scrapsidaisy Forum courtesy of www.pagemaps.com.
This is challenge Number 5-
I used Making Memories Animal crackers to create the challenge page, Basic Grey buttons & October Afternoon stamps.
Cosmo Cricket Honey Pie papers, Bazzill Wings Blossoms & Autumn Leaves stamps.
K & Co Berry Sweet papers, Basic Grey stamps & basic Grey buttons.
Lastly I have to send out A HUUUUGE thank you to Carol (aka Crazy for crafting). Carol sent me (via a local friend) a lovely, lovely RAK all the way from the U.S! She is so generous that it is amazing. I am honoured to say that she is a blogging friend! So again Carol Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! 7 you had better keep an eye on your mail box.......he he he
I hope everyone has a safe and fun filled week!

Lazy DAYS!!!!

As the title says "Lazy Days" that's what I have had this weekend! It is the start of the school holidays this weekend & I love the fact that there is NO routine for the most of it. How scary is that! How fast has that first term of school gone! So much has happened in that term too & it has just whizzed by.
My kiddies both had a bestie stay over for the night last night! It was amazing. They were all so very well behaved. I took them all to the videoshop (Do I still call it that?) last night to pick out a few movies & then they entertained themselves for the evening. SO MUM SCRAPPED!!!!!!! I finished off a page that I scrap lifted from Two Peas BUT now that I am about to post it I went back to the site so that I can put a link to the original page & I can't find it! That will teach me.....as I don't ever scrap lift. BUT I had tiny little pieces of scraps left over from my beloved October Afternoon papers & I just HAD to use them SO this page is it-----

MY next page is a FAVE photo of my D.S. (I am sure that I have scrapped it before) BUT I thought that it worked perfectly with the BRAND SPANKIN NEW "Static" range from 'Crate'!
I love the range & can't wait to attack the rest of the papers that I picked up from SCRAPSIDAISY yesterday.

Lastly, I finally got around to doing my Challenge from the SCRAPSIDAISY Forum. This time when I chose the Map (with a little help from Kristy) I didn't do my page right away so here it is-
First challenge No4-
courtesy of Pagemaps-
and then my take on the map-

I used the "Scenic Route" 'Salem' paper range for this one & added a few Making Memories blossoms.
Well that's enough raving from me.
Be sure to enjoy your week.
Thanks for stopping by.

The MOJO was happening!

The MOJO was happening! yipppeeeee!!!!! After spending the day at SCRAPSIDAISY on Saturday, for the GRAND opening in the BIG new store I came home ready to SCRAP!!!!. What a fantastic day we all had too!!!!!!!!! What a lovely bunch of ladies we had come along!
Here are the pages that I have done over the weekend!

As you can see! I am a tad addicted to October Afternoon papers atm. I even used up all my scraps. The sad part of that is that I don't have any left now!!!!! Is anyone else out there as obsessive with lubly papers as me?

This boy page of my D.S. (bit addicted to boy pages atm too!) is using the NEW Making Memories Animal Crackers range, They, too, are just divine! Kristy inspired me on Saturday with the title on this one!
I had a request for some Male themed cards at the Card making day SO these are what we did! They were made using (another FAVE) Cosmo Cricket p.p's.
Another class from the day were these MOTHER themed cards! The NEW Cuttlebug embossing folder (Floral Fantasy) was the main focal point on these two! Mothers Day is not really that far away!
That is all for now!
I will try & get back soon
Have a great week!

Mondayitis........

Do you have it? I do!
I had a lovely weekend & didn't want it to end! Family are so important to me & I had mine around me over the weekend so I didn't really want to get back into the routine of school & housework today! So here I am sitting at my computer playing...lol....The housework can wait!

SCRAPSIDAISY has its grand opening this coming Saturday at its NEW store. It is so exciting to see everything coming together. It looks so good now that I can't wait to help fill the shop with all the yummy stock. I am so honoured to be a part of the next generation of Scrapsidaisy!
I have been doing a bit of creating lately. Some design work for the shop. But I have also created a few pages for myself as well. I am loving all the yummy papers & can't wait to have a play with some of the newest, Making Memories have really outdone themselves of late. The ranges that they have released have been totally awesome. They have been so nice that I am finding it hard to actually cut them up...lol...a paper obsession I know!

I will go now & get back to that dreaded housework & hopefully have a little time left over to create something!

Here are a few pages that I have created lately!
This page is of my gorgeous niece & nephew using the October Afternoon p.p's.
(That ball hurts when it hits too!)

I have been trying really hard to create BOY pages & these 2 I did using the Kaiser range of p.p.

This is my sample of the Aussiescrap Castle. The papers are Crate papers & they are divine!
Thanks for stopping by!
Enjoy your week!

Some very Exciting News!!!!!

Hi There
I have some exciting, exciting news for my local scrappers!
SCRAPSIDAISY is moving to a larger building!
We, friends of Daisy, have spent the weekend refreshing the new shop & plan to move premises over the next few weeks. (unsure of official date as yet!)
The new shop is in Wingham main street between the Vet & Solomon's!!! Are you feeling my excitement!! It is so exciting. The shop is HEAPS bigger & has a separate scrap area, kitchen & LOO (we all need one of those...lol) so our ever growing evening classes will have plenty of space.
As I have been busy with the preparations for the new shop I have not had much time to scrap but I know for sure that as soon as this is over that the creativity will start to FLY!!!!
I will leave you with a few pic's of a few classes that we have had or are having at SCRAPSIDAISY .
Thanks for stopping by

A Cousins Layout.

I Finished a layout today using the LUBLY "Scenic Route" ''Laurel" patterned paper range. I made a pin wheel as an embellishment & played around with staples too. The photo is of my kiddies & two of their cousins at Christmas time.

Once I had finished my page I created a mini wooden concertina book. It was a pre made wooden Kaiser accordian frame. I used the SassaFrasLass Whimsy paper range. A couple of Prima flowers & Hiedi Swapp chipboard alphas.
(Poor picture sorry!)
I plan to have a day to myself tomorrow & CREATE, CREATE & did I mention CREATE! So maybe tomorrow night I will post another creation! (After I get home from work of course!)LOL.....

A Quick one....

Hi There,
Just a quickie tonight. I should be in bed catching up on lost sleep. But this thing called SCRAPBOOKING is keeping me awake...lol...i am sure there are others that understand!
I picked up some Patterned papers at SCRAPSIDAISY today & really couldn't decide which one I liked the best. So I used a piece of all of them on the one page.
I also used a photo of myself......mmmmmmmm...what was I thinking??????

Off to bed now to grab a bit of sleep while I can. Brock's spots are "ITCHY" now & he keeps waking up. Needless to say I should have been in bed hours ago!!!!

Oh NO......."Chicken spots"

Hi there,

I have turned into a very slack blogger I know! Too much going on & not enough time to fit it all in!
I have been creating away & have heaps to share.
Firstly (on the home front!) yesterday my D.S, Brock, came down with "chicken spots". He is pretty well covered with spots but hasn't been extremely unwell! (touchwood!!) & I sure hope it stays that way. I did take some pic's this arvo but I won't embarrass the poor little might by posting them on here!
I would like to also invite anyone, that is interested, to join the challenge that I have just started on the Scrapsidaisy Forum. Who knows if we have enough people participate we might start to offer prizes!

Next up- several weeks ago I created a Kaiser clock . I used a Kaiser paper range as well. I plan to display it on my T.V cabinet in my lounge room. I am a really happy with how this turned out too. I am actually helping a few ladies create one similar tomorrow!!!

The other thing that I created (that I CAN share) is a page -again using a Kaiser paper range.
I have a few other things that I will share real soon. Thanks for stopping by & I promise to try & be a better blogger in future! I also have some pic's to share of my newly improved scraproom.....

Proud!!!!!

Hi There,
I have just finished a page using the lovely, lovely new SCRAPWORKS- Love In Bloom p.p's & I just have to share it with you all! the papers & embellishments are just BEAUTIFUL! I also used, for the first time, the ever so yummy Basic Grey (Two Scoops-Heart Smudge) acrylic stamps that I picked up today at SCRAPSIDAISY!

The photo is of my D.D earlier in the week. It was the first time she had competed at a swimming carnival & she was so determined! She didn't win BUT she was a winner to me as she was so afraid that she wouldn't make the distance (she had never swam that distance ever before) & she did it without a drama!!! NOT bad considering she couldn't swim 4 months ago!
Thanks for looking & have a great weekend!

"~DASIY DECOR~"

Here it is~
The amazing "Daisy Decor living scrapbook Hanging ALBUM" Designed for SCRAPSIDAISY
The first in the series is a vertical scrapbook custom made locally from quality solid pine timber. The timber can be left raw, painted and/or varnished as you would any other pine product to match your living area. They are perfect to show off your favourite layouts in your loungeroom, on your mantle or coffee table, even on the kitchen bench. As your layouts are covered in plastic they are perfectly safe from spills, stains and little finger smudges yet can still be enjoyed in your living area - not tucked away in an album. They also make an ideal gift. Just add some of your layouts and the recipient can enjoy your work in their home year round. When you do a new layout for them they can easily add it so the "look" can be freshened up as little or as often as you like! Why not add a little calendar on a layout for each month and use it as a very attractive piece of home decor to be enjoyed all year round or, why not take a photo once a month of your children, scrap it and add it to your album each month. It will be fun for the whole family and visitors to see how much the children have grown and changed from January to December. There are so many ways this product can be adapted to "live" with you in your home.
I started with the raw timber one and then I painted & sanded it- to give it a shabby look- and then finally varnished. And came up with THIS-
(excuse the poor lighting in the pic-still raining here & the flash is reflecting off it!)
I just know that they will be popular! The response today was unbelievable! One lady wants 6! thats right 6! She knows a good thing when she sees it!
Thanks for visiting & make sure you leave a comment to let me know what you think!

Wet, Wet, Wet!!!!!& some Exciting news!

Hi There,
I am starting to get OVER the rain....LOL...It has been the wettest summer that I remember. The weekend was wet & miserable! So I spent a few hours playing in my scraproom! It was the perfect excuse!

I created a few pages that I will share. The photo's I have used on other projects but hadn't actually done any pages using them.
NOW FOR THE EXCITING NEWS-
Scrapsidaisy is releasing a " Daisy Decor " range! & I was the lucky one chosen to showcase the first item. Have you ever wished that you could display your pages, for all the lovelies that visit you, to see. Well now you can! Daisy has come up with the "living scrapbook" That is a vertical freestanding solid wood scrap album. I am painting & varnishing as I type!!!lol
So keep your eyes posted for as soon as I have finished I will show you all! It could be a couple of days between coats of varnish though. (we don't exactly have the perfect drying weather remember)
Better go & get the Rugrats organised

Happy Australia Day Long weekend!

Hi There,

Firstly- If you haven't entered my RAK please go back 2 posts & do so. You have until the 14th of Feb to enter & its really easy to do so!!!!!!!
Happy Australia Day long weekend to my Australian Buddies. To everyone else I just simply hope you are having a happy weekend!
I have had a wowser of a weekend so far! The creative juices (LOL) are still flowing ....SO I am going with it!

So far I have created a shadow box (I will share a sneak for you) Using the yummiest of papers. The new Basic Grey 2 Scoops. It is just lovely to work with.

Yesterday I headed off to Harvey Norman to process some photos & was ever sooo excited to learn that as a promotion for Australia Day they were processing 8x10 inch photo's for 26cents. I could not believe it. I LOVE huge photos. I was allowed 10, SO you guessed it thats what I got,10! Last night I was ever so inspired to use the new enlargements & the ever so delicious Bohemia, (Bliss Darling Daughter) Patterned papers & embellies that I picked up from SCRAPSIDAISY.
I created these-

The photos are HUGE & the papers are amazingly beautiful SO I didn't really have to do much!
I have a couple of other projects in mind for tonight. So check back real soon!
Thanks for looking

Full of INSPIRATION!!!!!

Hi there,

I have had a wonderful weekend & I hope you all have had the same.
I have been really busy creating (both for myself & work) and really like some of the projects that I have created. I will show you a sneak of one that I created for work. It is a Jules original. I first made one of these about two years ago & really liked it back then So I pulled it out & re-used the same idea to create this-

I used the lovely Urban Lily patt. papers & lots of stamps & doodling. Be sure to keep your eye on the Scrapsidaisy newsletter to find out when the class for this will be held.

The next thing I created was a pre-purchased Aussie scrap kit. It is a great idea to leave your family members with lots of treasured memories & deep thoughts. It is called "A Year In Question" & was heaps of fun to create.
The kit is all pre-packaged & has all the lovely Basic Gray Blush papers that you need to create it in it. Another one to watch the timetable for.

The last thing I will share with you tonight is a page that I created today that was inspired by the colours in this-

Pretty yummy looking huh! they were sitting on my scrap table while I was creating this page & I used all the yummy colours as my inspiration.
That's about it for tonight. I have done a few other things but I will save them for mid-week.
Thanks for stopping by & make sure you leave a comment on my last post to go into the draw for the RAK that I am giving away on FEB 14th.
Keep smiling

It's RAK Time!!

HI There,

I have finally decided what I would like to give away..........yeah!!!!!!!! For those of you that don't know I am really, really lucky enough to work at my LSS- SCRAPSIDAISY, in Wingham, N.S.W. So... when I was at work the other day I remembered the RAK that I have been promising to give away for a while now & took 5 minutes to look. I finally decided on a set of clear cling stamps with an acrylic block. The set is not a smally! The stamps measure 140 x 180mm & the block is 102 x 58mm. So it is a great size!!!!!!!!!AND BRAND SPANKIN NEW!!
So whats the catch you ask?????
well nothing really! all you have to do is leave a comment on this post & I will enter you in the draw. I will get one of my kiddies to draw it randomly (from the hat so to speak) on VALENTINES DAY. February 14, 2008.
BUT if you would like a second chance in the draw simply subscribe to the Email Subscriptions in my sidebar & I will enter your name twice in the draw.
So here is a picture of the stamps that some lucky duck is going to win! Be sure to leave a comment so that you go into the draw. GOOD LUCK!!
& THANK YOU to all the lovelies that have for the past 12 months have left comments & became my blogging friends. I treasure everyone of those comments & really enjoy the whole blogging world!
ENJOY & Keep smiling!!
JULES xoxo
