A Quick one....

Hi There,
Just a quickie tonight. I should be in bed catching up on lost sleep. But this thing called SCRAPBOOKING is keeping me awake...lol...i am sure there are others that understand!
I picked up some Patterned papers at SCRAPSIDAISY today & really couldn't decide which one I liked the best. So I used a piece of all of them on the one page.
I also used a photo of myself......mmmmmmmm...what was I thinking??????

Off to bed now to grab a bit of sleep while I can. Brock's spots are "ITCHY" now & he keeps waking up. Needless to say I should have been in bed hours ago!!!!

Oh NO......."Chicken spots"

Hi there,

I have turned into a very slack blogger I know! Too much going on & not enough time to fit it all in!
I have been creating away & have heaps to share.
Firstly (on the home front!) yesterday my D.S, Brock, came down with "chicken spots". He is pretty well covered with spots but hasn't been extremely unwell! (touchwood!!) & I sure hope it stays that way. I did take some pic's this arvo but I won't embarrass the poor little might by posting them on here!
I would like to also invite anyone, that is interested, to join the challenge that I have just started on the Scrapsidaisy Forum. Who knows if we have enough people participate we might start to offer prizes!

Next up- several weeks ago I created a Kaiser clock . I used a Kaiser paper range as well. I plan to display it on my T.V cabinet in my lounge room. I am a really happy with how this turned out too. I am actually helping a few ladies create one similar tomorrow!!!

The other thing that I created (that I CAN share) is a page -again using a Kaiser paper range.
I have a few other things that I will share real soon. Thanks for stopping by & I promise to try & be a better blogger in future! I also have some pic's to share of my newly improved scraproom.....

Proud!!!!!

Hi There,
I have just finished a page using the lovely, lovely new SCRAPWORKS- Love In Bloom p.p's & I just have to share it with you all! the papers & embellishments are just BEAUTIFUL! I also used, for the first time, the ever so yummy Basic Grey (Two Scoops-Heart Smudge) acrylic stamps that I picked up today at SCRAPSIDAISY!

The photo is of my D.D earlier in the week. It was the first time she had competed at a swimming carnival & she was so determined! She didn't win BUT she was a winner to me as she was so afraid that she wouldn't make the distance (she had never swam that distance ever before) & she did it without a drama!!! NOT bad considering she couldn't swim 4 months ago!
Thanks for looking & have a great weekend!

"~DASIY DECOR~"

Here it is~
The amazing "Daisy Decor living scrapbook Hanging ALBUM" Designed for SCRAPSIDAISY
The first in the series is a vertical scrapbook custom made locally from quality solid pine timber. The timber can be left raw, painted and/or varnished as you would any other pine product to match your living area. They are perfect to show off your favourite layouts in your loungeroom, on your mantle or coffee table, even on the kitchen bench. As your layouts are covered in plastic they are perfectly safe from spills, stains and little finger smudges yet can still be enjoyed in your living area - not tucked away in an album. They also make an ideal gift. Just add some of your layouts and the recipient can enjoy your work in their home year round. When you do a new layout for them they can easily add it so the "look" can be freshened up as little or as often as you like! Why not add a little calendar on a layout for each month and use it as a very attractive piece of home decor to be enjoyed all year round or, why not take a photo once a month of your children, scrap it and add it to your album each month. It will be fun for the whole family and visitors to see how much the children have grown and changed from January to December. There are so many ways this product can be adapted to "live" with you in your home.
I started with the raw timber one and then I painted & sanded it- to give it a shabby look- and then finally varnished. And came up with THIS-
(excuse the poor lighting in the pic-still raining here & the flash is reflecting off it!)
I just know that they will be popular! The response today was unbelievable! One lady wants 6! thats right 6! She knows a good thing when she sees it!
Thanks for visiting & make sure you leave a comment to let me know what you think!

Wet, Wet, Wet!!!!!& some Exciting news!

Hi There,
I am starting to get OVER the rain....LOL...It has been the wettest summer that I remember. The weekend was wet & miserable! So I spent a few hours playing in my scraproom! It was the perfect excuse!

I created a few pages that I will share. The photo's I have used on other projects but hadn't actually done any pages using them.
NOW FOR THE EXCITING NEWS-
Scrapsidaisy is releasing a " Daisy Decor " range! & I was the lucky one chosen to showcase the first item. Have you ever wished that you could display your pages, for all the lovelies that visit you, to see. Well now you can! Daisy has come up with the "living scrapbook" That is a vertical freestanding solid wood scrap album. I am painting & varnishing as I type!!!lol
So keep your eyes posted for as soon as I have finished I will show you all! It could be a couple of days between coats of varnish though. (we don't exactly have the perfect drying weather remember)
Better go & get the Rugrats organised

Happy Australia Day Long weekend!

Hi There,

Firstly- If you haven't entered my RAK please go back 2 posts & do so. You have until the 14th of Feb to enter & its really easy to do so!!!!!!!
Happy Australia Day long weekend to my Australian Buddies. To everyone else I just simply hope you are having a happy weekend!
I have had a wowser of a weekend so far! The creative juices (LOL) are still flowing ....SO I am going with it!

So far I have created a shadow box (I will share a sneak for you) Using the yummiest of papers. The new Basic Grey 2 Scoops. It is just lovely to work with.

Yesterday I headed off to Harvey Norman to process some photos & was ever sooo excited to learn that as a promotion for Australia Day they were processing 8x10 inch photo's for 26cents. I could not believe it. I LOVE huge photos. I was allowed 10, SO you guessed it thats what I got,10! Last night I was ever so inspired to use the new enlargements & the ever so delicious Bohemia, (Bliss Darling Daughter) Patterned papers & embellies that I picked up from SCRAPSIDAISY.
I created these-

The photos are HUGE & the papers are amazingly beautiful SO I didn't really have to do much!
I have a couple of other projects in mind for tonight. So check back real soon!

Full of INSPIRATION!!!!!

Hi there,

I have had a wonderful weekend & I hope you all have had the same.
I have been really busy creating (both for myself & work) and really like some of the projects that I have created. I will show you a sneak of one that I created for work. It is a Jules original. I first made one of these about two years ago & really liked it back then So I pulled it out & re-used the same idea to create this-

I used the lovely Urban Lily patt. papers & lots of stamps & doodling. Be sure to keep your eye on the Scrapsidaisy newsletter to find out when the class for this will be held.

The next thing I created was a pre-purchased Aussie scrap kit. It is a great idea to leave your family members with lots of treasured memories & deep thoughts. It is called "A Year In Question" & was heaps of fun to create.
The kit is all pre-packaged & has all the lovely Basic Gray Blush papers that you need to create it in it. Another one to watch the timetable for.

The last thing I will share with you tonight is a page that I created today that was inspired by the colours in this-

Pretty yummy looking huh! they were sitting on my scrap table while I was creating this page & I used all the yummy colours as my inspiration.
That's about it for tonight. I have done a few other things but I will save them for mid-week.
Thanks for stopping by & make sure you leave a comment on my last post to go into the draw for the RAK that I am giving away on FEB 14th.
Keep smiling

It's RAK Time!!

HI There,

I have finally decided what I would like to give away..........yeah!!!!!!!! For those of you that don't know I am really, really lucky enough to work at my LSS- SCRAPSIDAISY, in Wingham, N.S.W. So... when I was at work the other day I remembered the RAK that I have been promising to give away for a while now & took 5 minutes to look. I finally decided on a set of clear cling stamps with an acrylic block. The set is not a smally! The stamps measure 140 x 180mm & the block is 102 x 58mm. So it is a great size!!!!!!!!!AND BRAND SPANKIN NEW!!
So whats the catch you ask?????
well nothing really! all you have to do is leave a comment on this post & I will enter you in the draw. I will get one of my kiddies to draw it randomly (from the hat so to speak) on VALENTINES DAY. February 14, 2008.
BUT if you would like a second chance in the draw simply subscribe to the Email Subscriptions in my sidebar & I will enter your name twice in the draw.
So here is a picture of the stamps that some lucky duck is going to win! Be sure to leave a comment so that you go into the draw. GOOD LUCK!!
& THANK YOU to all the lovelies that have for the past 12 months have left comments & became my blogging friends. I treasure everyone of those comments & really enjoy the whole blogging world!
ENJOY & Keep smiling!!

Cardmaking Day

Hi there,

I hope everyone is having a safe & enjoyable beginning to the New Year! I have that is for sure! Yesterday I had the pleasure of spending the day with a dozen or so very enthusiastic cardmakers! It sure is fun to see people, that have never created a card before, create something that they really LOVE!!!
We had 4 classes during the day. It was such a fun Day too. I think I already mentioned that!

I will share with you a couple of the projects that we created on the day.

The cards above are all unique fold cards. It was great to make cards that were something a little more fancy then the normal folds.
The second lot of cards we did were to use the new Glue pad. It is such a versatile pad & allows you to add heaps of glitter & bling!!!(you can't really see that in the photo though)
I had 2 other classes on the day. One was an off the page wooden hanging & the other was a scrap page. We still have a few kits left at SCRAPSIDAISY (instore) if you are interested. They come with full instructions & all the goodies you need to create the projects. While I am at it if you are one of our local ladies be sure to mark Saturday the 9th of February in your diary as that is when we will be doing it all again! I am pumped at the moment & have spent all weekend creating the projects for the next cardmaking day! There will be some really different cards next time!!!
Thanks to all the lovelies that have visited my blog & left really encouraging comments. I appreciate every single one of them!
ENJOY

Happy New Year (Better late then never!!)

Hi There,

I hope that everyone has had a safe & wonderful New Year & I look forward to another joyful year ahead admiring your inspiring creations.

I have been doing a bit of creating over the weekend.I have created a few classes for next weeks cardmaking day(but I won't share!) & then I dug out some older photos. The first photos that I created with are both of my kiddies (newspaper) birth photos. So I created a layout with them both on the same page.
The next page I used another photo that is also a couple of years old. It is a 8x12 photo of my D.D when she was a flower girl for my niece's wedding back in 2005. I am JUST loving the new Chatterbox range of papers atm.
Be sure to check back in the next week or so Because I am sorting out atm what I will be doing for the RAK that I promised last year.

I had an amazing time!

Hi

I hope everyone had a Christmas as special as mine!
I had a fun filled & special time shared with my beautiful family, with lots of presents & food!
I got a little spoilt this year! My D.D reduced me to tears on Christmas morning when he presented me with one of my pressies. He had gone to the jewellers & picked me out a set of gold ear- rings with diamond chips in them. They are just beautiful! so much so that I am too scared to wear them...lol..I got a lovely bottle of perfume, some make up & a photo CD stand from Santa as well!

I will share with you all the card that the Lovely Leisa made for me for Christmas. It is just stunning...BUT it is the words that are written inside that make it even more special-
So now the silly season has almost finished & the visitors have all gone home I feel the NEED to scrap!!!!!!SO last night I created a page.

My D.H dresses up as Santa almost every year & this year Maddy gave him a big smooch while he was dressed up.

And just prior to Christmas I made another Calendar & note book for my Darling Daddy & Aunty Pat. It turned out so yummy that I am going to make another one the same for myself.

I wish anyone that visits here a joyful time for the rest of 2007 & a Happy New Year for 2008!

ENJOY

Teachers gifts

I have had some creative FUN today! I seem to be running out of time.....ohhh....but I managed to finally get the teachers presents made today. Both my kiddies have lovely lady teachers. Both are young & trendy! So I made them both calendars & note books to match. I hope they like them as I sure did have fun creating them!

These are really economical to make. I sure hope the teachers like them!

& then on the scrapping front I created a page earlier in the week-
This is one of the yummy new K & Co papers that I used to create this page (it's of me as a little girl).

Onto another exciting story!!!!!!!!!! I scored big time this week! I purchased from SCRAPSIDAISY one of these-

I haven't had a huge amount of time over the weekend to do a lot with it. But I did create a 6x6 mini book.

well done if you are still reading! it sure is a long post for me!

IN THE SPIRIT OF THINGS!

Hi There!
I picked myself up these gorgeous NEW Love Elsie, Noel p.p's, last week at SCRAPSIDAISY & was just busting to use them. I used a photo of myself on Santa's knee from way, way back in 1970! BOY has Santa changed since then!!!!!!!!..........LOL. The papers were(as usual) really easy to put together!

SORRY about the poor quality of photo! I will fix it soon! IRL the colours are much brighter!
Thanks heaps for dropping by & be sure to check back soon as I will be adding a little RAK!

Something to share!

Hi,
SORRY ( for the delay!).....LOL

I promised on Saturday night to share what I was about to create. WELL....that didn't get finished until today! So here I am sharing...right NOW!!
I was really excited last week at work when we got in some paper-mache CD boxes & post it note holders. They are really plain BUT can be transformed really easily into something lovely for your scrap desk. The CD box is perfect to store (we are always in search of photo storage) all of your enlargements in. I have used mine for my 6x8 & 5x7 enlargements. I used the new release Chatterbox Pattern papers. I think these both turned out rather elegant!
Then I just had to attack some of the other Chatterbox patterned papers So today I found a photo that I had taken of Brock (from our earlier holiday) & created this page. I was TRULY inspired with all the blossoms & rub-ons that KRISTY has been using on her burst of pages of late. So here is what I created today.
With the silly Season fast approaching I don't think that I will have as much time to create . BUT I do promise that whatever I create I will share for anyone that wants to look.
ENJOY

~MY GORGEOUS GIRL~

FIRSTLY.........
~~~~HAPPY BIRTHDAY MADDY!~~~~
Just wanted to share with you all that my gorgeous GIRL turned 10 today!
For those of you that know me, you know how much my children mean to me. So today is a special milestone.
10 is a double digit!
10 is starting to show signs of growing up!
10 is not a little girl anymore........
The family are all coming to visit this afternoon & she is bringing her bestest friend home from school with her, for nibbles & tea (Pizza of her choice) so I had better get myself organised for the event. There have been more pressies then anyone would need (BUT hey she's special & deserves them!) & I am sure there will be even more this afternoon!
Thanks for visiting
